How to Choose the Right Jersey Size
· 4 min read
Custom jerseys are made just for you, which means they can't be swapped for a different size later. The good news: getting the size right takes about two minutes and a tape measure.
Measure your chest
Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight. Write the number down in inches.
No tape measure? Use a piece of string, mark where it meets, then measure the string with a ruler.
Find your row on the size chart
Every jersey page has a size chart. Find the row that your chest measurement falls into, and that's your size. Sizing can differ a little between jersey styles, so check the chart for the exact jersey you're ordering.
Between two sizes? Go bigger
If your measurement lands right on the line between two sizes, pick the larger one. Jerseys are meant to fit with a little room for movement, and a slightly loose jersey is far better than one that's tight across the chest or shoulders.
Double-check with a jersey you already own
If you have a jersey or shirt that fits the way you like, lay it flat and measure straight across from armpit to armpit, then from the top of the shoulder to the bottom hem. Compare those numbers to the "laid flat" measurements on our size chart.
Adult or youth sizes?
- Adult sizes run from 2XS to 6XL.
- Youth sizes run from 8 to 20 and are made for kids' teams.
For older kids and teens near the top of the youth range, compare their chest measurement against both the youth and adult charts. A small adult size is sometimes the better fit.
Ordering for a team
Ask each player to measure themselves rather than guessing from their T-shirt size, and collect everything in one list before you order. Our guide to ordering jerseys for a whole team walks through the full process. Have a sizing question? Get in touch before you order.
